Terra Latches are brackets made from durable plastic that will hold pots up to 90 lbs. They are primarily designed for Terra Cotta flowerpots from 4 to 10 inches in diameter. The hangers will safely hold the combined weight of the plant, dirt and pot. They are durable enough to withstand high winds. Once installed, the latches can be left up all year.
The latch will go on virtually any four inch vertical surface. That includes wood, brick, metal, tree stumps, plaster, drywall, stucco, concrete, wrought iron, chain link fencing, lattice, plastic fencing and practically all types of siding.
It's always easiest to pre-drill the holes for both screws. The screws that come with the product are wood screws and do not require an anchor for most surfaces. Some surfaces like drywall or vinyl fencing will require plastic anchors to go into the surface first.
On Masonry, use a 1/4 inch masonry drill bit for the pilot holes. Insert an anchor and use masonry screws.
Some window boxes have a lip similar to the standard pots and can be hung with two latches.
Create a flower stand on a post inside or out. String lights through the latches to create night time visual interest on your patio or deck.
